Tis the time to get out the dried Morels. I have been digging in after the holidays and enjoying the dried Morels I had stocked for the off season. It won’t be long till the season rolls around again. Hope this year was as good as last. Enjoy the off season Morels and the new ones are on there way real soon.
I moved from Michigan to North Carolina and this time of year really makes me miss those tasty morels. I’m looking for a place to either hunt for them, where I would have some luck or just a place that would sell them. Also when is the best time to pick them? Any knowledge about these shrooms in NC would be appreciated.

Where can I find morel mushrooms in North Carolina?
I live in the Ozarks, in Southern Missouri/ Northern Arkansas
I want to hunt them myself, definitely. I’ve never seen them for sale anywhere, and I’ve looked. How do i find them to pick my own?

morels are hard to find good unless you find then yourself in the wild. You will need to go to a specialty market such as jungle jims or trader joes.
